A total of 195 machines, of different designs, have been sold, so far, to the world, of which 66 machines in China alone. A total of 27 Turn-Key projects have been completed worldwide, of which 16 projects in China only.

There are only a few companies who produce hard gelatin capsule machines and market their products throughout the world. The principles of capsule manufacturing have changed little since Arthur Colton presented the world's first fully automated machine back in 1930.

What has emerged from this basic principle are improvements in design and construction of the equipment. Technophar has applied these principles in order to produce consistently higher quality capsules, significant increases in production output and technological advances that allow for low machine maintenance and high reliability.

Technophar manufactures, under its own design, machines that produce empty two-piece hard gelatin capsules for all standard pharmaceutical sizes. The entire capsule manufacturing process: greasing, dipping, kiln-drying, stripping, trimming and capsule joining is completely automatic.

Features to our Hard Capsule Machine:

  • Hydraulic, fully automatic, designed for high performance, increased output and efficiency, reduced downtime and cost effectiveness
  • PLC controls system with Touch Screen operating panel
  • Machines with 6, or 7 bar dipping
  • Dipping system, independent between CAP and BODY, driven by servo motors programmed to yield dipping profiles in accordance with the process and gelatin requirements
  • Dipper Elevator, driven by servomotor, which enables a close control of this critical movement, with the goal of obtaining a perfect gelatin distribution on the pins (optional)
  • Hydraulic system with two or three variable displacement pumps, working in tandem with reliable, leak-free hydraulic controls. The following movements are performed through this system:
    • Dipper one-bar movement and 6 or 7 bar ejecting
    • Greaser back and forth movement
    • Spindle rotation and upper conveyor
    • Table elevators
    • Upper and lower bar pushers and elevators
  • Variable speed drive, RINGCONE, with remote control
  • Steel welded construction
  • Machine frame decks are built out of aluminum profiles with horizontal conveyor rollers on bearings, for reduced friction
  • Safeties are provided all around the machinery integrated into the PLC system
